It turns out that Optimus Prime is Windows-compatible, or, at least, Windows-friendly, with Transformers: Punishment — a new motion book comic from IDW Publishing, Hasbro and digital comic platform Madefire — premiering on Windows 8 devices ahead of this weekend’s release of Transformers: Age of Extinction.
The five-part series by John Barber and Livio Ramondelli ties in with the continuity of current IDW comic book series Transformers: Robots in Disguise and Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye, and is available exclusively on Windows 8 devices.

While announcing the new series, Barber said, “It’s a thrill to see Optimus Prime spring into action,” adding that “Madefire’s Motion Book s— including music and sound effects — deliver a powerful reading experience that makes you feel like you’re in the center of it all!”
The launch of Punishment marks the debut of Madefire’s Motion Books format on Windows 8 OS, and Todd Brix, Microsoft’s general manager for Windows App and Store, said that Madefire’s app makes “unique use” of Windows features such as Live Tiles, snap and Bing Smart Search integration.
Transformers: Punishment is available for free via the Madefire app on Windows 8 devices.
