Computer-generated drones that chase Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) through London; blood enhancement; CG water, fire, and smoke; and plenty of explosions. That is some of the work that London VFX house Milk is creating for 24: Live Another Day.
PHOTOS ’24: Live Another Day’: First Look at the London Set
Milk—which is celebrating its first year in business—is the lead VFX house on the Fox series that is set and was shot in London. The series also is among the first U.S. dramas to shoot in the U.K. following the implementation of a new TV tax incentive in April.
A lean startup, Milk was formed in the spring of 2013 by the former Mill TV team that ventured out on its own when The Mill decided to exit the TV business due to the challenging VFX business climate.

In addition to 24, Milk is also currently in production on the upcoming eighth series of Doctor Who featuring Peter Capaldi for the BBC; and the Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell seven-part miniseries due to be broadcast on BBC One in 2015.
On the feature side, it just completed work on Brett Ratner’s Hercules.
