Warner Bros. Television has released the first character image from Fox’s Gotham.
Gotham, a crime drama based on characters from DC, explores the origin stories of eventual Police Commissioner James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the rogues’ gallery of villains that made the city infamous.
Viewers get a first look at Gordon’s partner and mentor, the rough-around-the-edges Gotham City Det. Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), who plays loose with police procedure but gets results, and he does so with old-school, hard-ass panache. The first glimpse of the image sees Det. Bullock, dressed in his iconic trench, peering down against the gloomy backdrop of Gotham City.
Warner Bros. TV and Fox will reveal the next character Friday on the Gotham social media pages, which fans can access by “liking” the Gotham Facebook page.
Gotham is executive produced by Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon, who is directing the pilot episode from a script by Heller. The ensemble cast also includes David Mazouz as a young Bruce Wayne, Jada Pinkett Smith, Robin Lord Taylor, Zabryna Guevara, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Drew Powell.
