SACRAMENTO-

Just as heavy rains moved into the Sacramento area, at least two semi trucks crashed along southbound I-5 near Seamas Avenue. The accident, around 9 a.m., caused traffic to backup, just as the roadway began filling with water.

Emergency crews say they are treating at least one person injured in the accident.

Multiple lanes are blocked by the accident. CHP officers responded to the accident, and found a Penske truck jackknifed, and another semi truck hit.

They also noted the visibility is low in the area because of the rain.

There is no estimated time of reopening all lanes of I-5 southbound.
