Goat Simulator out now on the App Store to wreak havoc on your iOS devices

September 17, 2014

The runaway hit caprine simulation game on Steam has just made its way to iOS.

I’m, of course, referring to Goat Simulator, which has been released by developer Coffee Stain Studios on iOS, a couple of days ahead of its scheduled mobile launch. Apparently, the game’s titular animal prematurely trampled on the “publish” button on the App Store.

As a result, you can now play Goat Simulator right on your iOS device. Goat Simulator was first released for Windows via Steam early last April and ported for OS X and Linux late last June.

Goat Simulator has been likened to skateboarding games. But instead of a skater pulling off tricks, in the game you play as, well, a goat wreaking havoc. As we noted in our GamingSoon feature for the game, Goat Simulator challenges you to “get points for wrecking things, unlock different goats, and experience the game’s whacked physics as you go on a destructive rampage.”

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Goat Simulator is available now on the App Store for $4.99.

“Goat Simulator is a completely stupid game,” Coffee Stain Studios admits, “and, to be honest, you should probably spend your money on something else, such as a hula hoop, a pile of bricks, or maybe pool your money together with your friends and buy a real goat.”
