Frozen will be hard to miss on ABC in the fall.
The network on Wednesday ordered a special — The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic — to air on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 8 p.m.
The hourlong entry will offer a peek behind the scenes at Walt Disney Animation Studios featuring the creative team and cast behind the blockbuster movie.
The special will also include new announcements about the next chapter of Frozen as well as an as-yet-unseen preview of Once Upon a Time‘s incarnation of Anna, Elsa and Kristoff. The hour will also feature interviews with Frozen‘s voice cast, including Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel as well as exec producer/Walt Disney Animation Studios chief creative officer John Lasseter, directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Commentary from art director Mike Giaimo and the effects team will also be included in the special, which will culminate with a preview of Big Hero 6.
Check out the actors set to play Frozen characters Anna, Elsa, Prince Hans and Kristoff as well as who’s voicing Pabbie the Troll King on Once Upon a Time, which returns Sunday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
