KANSAS CITY-

Is it a dynasty?

The San Francisco Giants now have their third championship since 2010, thanks in no small part to stellar defense.

After a scoreless first inning, the Giants earned two runs – both off of sacrifice flies. The Kansas City Royals answered with two runs of their own.

The Giants held the Royals scoreless for the remainder, with the help of pitcher Madison Bumgarner, while getting another run in the fourth.

The last time a team one Game 7 of the World Series on the road was in 1979, when the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Baltimore Orioles.

Kansas City had its last World Series appearance in 1985. That series also went seven games.
