Saturday Night Live is opening its 40th season with the star of summer’s biggest blockbuster.
Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Chris Pratt will take the stage at Studio 8H as host of the Sept. 27 season opener. Pratt also co-stars on NBC’s Parks and Recreation and will next be seen on the big screen in Jurassic World.
Ariana Grande, whose latest album, My Everything, debuted at No. 1, makes her SNL debut as the episode’s musical guest.
Sarah Silverman, whose comedy album Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles drops on Sept. 23, returns for the first time as host on the Oct. 4 episode.
In the middle of a publicity tour for its fifth studio album, V, Maroon 5 — led by The Voice coach Adam Levine — will take the stage for the fifth time as the musical guest.
