ROSEVILLE-

All-American Speedway in Roseville will again host the Media Blitz 100, a collection of local media members racing 500 horse power stock cars, only this time there is a twist.

The race happens Oct. 11, with the main event that evening being NASCAR’s K&N Series race.  But joining the media race this year is former 49er and Roseville native Dan Bunz, who was paid to hit things during his pro football career.

Not so much this time around.

“Yeah, I’m trying not to,” said Bunz. “ This is what they are saying, I’ve got one shot, one bullet. If I crash it I don’t get to race so I’ve been taking it easy.”

According to the race promoter, Bill McAnally, rocker Sammy Hagar is also hopeful to be a part of the race, which will benefit the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment.
