SACRAMENTO-

Parents in the Twin Rivers Unified School District are on edge following a reported abduction attempt Thursday morning.

A high school student was walking to school when she says she was approached by a stranger between Oakdale Elementary and Madison Elementary, district spokesperson Charlene VanAllen said.

The girl was not taken or assaulted. The district is urging students to walk in groups or pairs.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the incident.
