Writer, director, producer and podcaster Kevin Smith is back with a new film Tusk.
Starring Justin Long as an intrepid podcaster seeking out weird and wonderful stories, Tusk takes a mysterious turn when Long’s character goes missing in the Manitoba woods while interviewing the enigmatic Mr. Howe.
In a surreal twist, Long’s girlfriend and best friend race to find him before Mr. Howe turns him into a “walrus.”

The inspiration for the film came during a joke segment on the 259th edition of Smith’s SModcast podcast. Smith says it took six months from a joke on a podcast to filming Tusk.
Tusk will be in theaters Sept. 19. The film also stars Johnny Depp, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Michael Parks and Ralph Garman.
