Bera, Ose To Win in Seventh Congressional; Cooper Leading Fong in Ninth Assembly

In the four way race for the Seventh United States Congressional District, Incumbent Democrat Dr. Ami Bera will face former three term Republican Congress Member Doug Ose.

With 68 percent of precincts reporting, Bera has 48.7 percent to Ose's 25.9 percent. The two other contenders in the race, Republicans Igor Birman and Elizabeth Emken have captured 15.7 and 7.1 percent respectively.

In the race for California's Ninth Assembly District, Elk Grove Vice Mayor Jim Cooper leads Sacramento City Council Member Darrell Fong 31.9 to 29.1 percent. The two other contenders in the race, Republicans Tim Gorsulowsky and Manuel Martin have 17.2 and 12.7 percent respectively.
