An army’s worth of DC superheroes invaded Hall H Saturday night.
Fans were treated to screenings of the pilots for The CW‘s The Flash, Fox’s Gotham and a new trailer of NBC’s Constantine. There was also 15 seconds of new footage from The CW’s Arrow season three. (See the Arrow footage here.)
Gotham earned major applause for moments showcasing Alfred (Sean Pertwee), a much less cuddly version of the butler. Gordon’s (Ben McKenzie) hard-nosed heroics also went over well. On The Flash side, fans seemed enthused by the special effects, particularly during the pilot’s climactic battle.
After the screenings — introduced by Arrow star Stephen Amell — DC’s Geoff Johns brought out a record 33 panelists to Hall H as the casts and producers of Arrow, The Flash, Constantine and Gotham were trotted out on stage to big applause.

Gotham’s young star David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne) charmed the crowd by saying he’d like to wear the batsuit one day.
“I think Batman becomes Batman when he is 25, so hopefully this show will run until I’m 25,” Mazouz said to a big laugh.
Robin Taylor (The Penguin) seemed to already be a favorite of the fans, who gave him a warm welcome.
“As an actor, you just want to get the best material possible,” said Taylor. “When I come to set and look at what we’re doing for the day, and I see what’s written … I feel like I am just stepping into something amazing.”
The Arrow team teased new heroes and bad guys for season three, including Ra’s al Ghul and Wildcat.

The Flash star Grant Gustin said he had a genuine affection for the character of Barry Allen.
“He’s a dork, and he’s brilliant, and there’s a lot of depth to him,” said Gustin. “He’s easy to relate to because he’s so genuine.”
Producer Greg Berlanti also teased a superhero showdown, revealing episode eight of the season was “Flash vs. Arrow.”
Constantine creator David S. Goyer revealed why the character was the right choice for him to tackle after writing the Dark Knight movies and Man of Steel.
“He doesn’t have any spandex which is kind of nice,” said Goyer. “First he’ll try to throw a spell and if that doesn’t work he might try to pick a fight. If that doesn’t work he might try a con. If that doesn’t work, he might try to kick a guy in the balls. And if that doesn’t work, he might just run.”
Gotham premieres Sept. 22 on Fox, with The Flash bowing Oct. 7 on The CW, and Arrow following Oct. 8. Constantine hits NBC on Oct. 24.
