Even though Elsa's voluminous braid from Frozen is The Greatest Braid Of Our Time, it was not the inspiration for Emma Stone's perfectly touseled Met Gala plait, celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak told Cosmopolitan.com of creating the look.

"We haven't done much like it, so I wanted it to try this five-strand braid on her," Roszak says. "I wanted it to have an effortlessly cool, yet sexy feel. But no, Elsa wasn't the inspiration, although I do love Elsa's braid."

OK, fine, so your dream of Emma Stone asking for Elsa's braid whilst bursting into a rendition of "Let It Go" is crushed. But you can still copy the style with Roszak's step-by-step how-to:

1. Create lift. Apply L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray onto the roots of damp hair for dramatic lift.

2. Add texture. Use a salt spray to wet your hair all over the mid-length and ends, and then rough-dry your hair away from your face to build texture and volume while still maintaining structure.

3. Tease your tresses. Once your hair is dry, gently tease the crown for more height and backcomb it all over to build a solid, voluminous foundation.

4. Braid, braid, braid. Start creating the wide, woven style by grabbing five strands of hair. Take the far left section and weave it over the second section from the left and underneath the third section. Then, grab the far right piece and wrap it over the second section from the right and under the third piece from the right. So, you're wrapping one over two and under three, and then five over four and under three. Keep repeating this sequence until you've reached the ends. Secure the braid with a clear elastic, and allow some pieces to fall out loosely around your face.

5. Keep your look in place. Hit your hair with some strong hold hairspray to lock in the style.
