Fox cleaned up with a Wednesday win thanks to So You Think You Can Dance. The summer competition series led the broadcast pack in the key demo last night, averaging a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49 — and 5.3 million viewers. It still marks a premiere low for the veteran reality show, a three-tenths of a point drop from last season’s premiere.
NBC News’ much-hyped Brian Williams sitdown with Edward Snowden also premiered last night. At 10 p.m., the special won the hour with an average 1.3 rating in the key demo. It fetched 5.9 million viewers, not quite enough to top a CBS encore of CSI.
Elsewhere, Motive (0.9 adults) matched last week’s premiere score on ABC, and The 100 (0.5 adults) slid up a tenth of a point on The CW.
