TNT’s drug trade drama has cast its leading man.
Cloverfield‘s Michael Stahl-David has been tapped to star in the drama pilot from executive producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Stahl-David will star as Bobby Nickel, a charismatic, brilliant and driven man who came from nothing and quickly learned to make his own rules. Now a husband, father and successful pot runner working for a local Cuban drug lord, Bobby leads a double life — both in business and in love.
He joins a cast that also includes Elizabeth Perkins as Bobby’s mother, as well as Kelsey Siepser, Adria Arjona, Kristen Hager and Oscar Jaenada.
Michelle Ashford, who created Showtime’s period drama Masters of Sex, will pen the script and exec produce the Warner Horizon Television drama. Bruckheimer (CSI) will executive produce alongside his Warners-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television president Jonathan Littman and executive vp KristieAnne Reed, who is set as a co-EP.
Bay will executive produce via his Bay Films banner. Billy Corben and Alfred Spellman, who produced the 2006 documentary Cocaine Cowboys, are also on board as EPs.
Stahl-David has been one of the most sought-after actors in the past few pilot seasons. Last year, he costarred in NBC comedy Two to Go and the year before that was poised to play Felicity Huffman‘s son in Fox drama Boomerang. His credits include My Generation and The Black Donnellys. He’s repped by ICM Partners and Management 360.
