Global Artists Agency is suing comedian Garrett Morris, claiming he failed to pay his commissions on CBS’ 2 Broke Girls.
Morris allegedly entered in an oral agreement with the agency back in 2009, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The suit says that Morris agreed to pay 10 percent commissions on any income he received while represented by the talent agency. The agency says it negotiated for Morris to join 2 Broke Girls, in which he has played Earl for 72 episodes beginning in 2011.

The lawsuit says Morris paid commissions for his work on the first two seasons of the show, and then stopped.
A rep for Morris says the allegations are inaccurate.
“Mr. Morris has always paid his commissions. The true dispute is between Mr. Morris’ longtime agent, Cynthia Booth, and her former agency Global Artists Agency. Mr. Morris, with the approval of Ms. Booth, offered to put the paid commissions into trust to allow the real parties to resolve their claims without involving him,” the rep says. “It is unfortunate that he has been put in the middle of this ongoing dispute, when in fact he has honored his obligations.”
Global is seeking general damages, legal fees and interest. It also is asking for Morris to provide an accounting of his earnings.
