STOCKTON —
A 33-year-old man was arrested after hitting a man with a bike tire and throwing the tire at a child.
According to police, Eugene Jones got into an argument with the 28-year-old victim. The argument reached a height when Jones hit the victim with a bike tire.
Jones then fled to a home on W. Acacia Street, where he tried to get through the door. When the child who answered the door wouldn’t let him in, Jones threw the tire at her.
The tire missed the child. The adult victim suffered a cut but refused medical attention.
Jones was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment.
