TURLOCK-

A Turlock woman says she doesn’t mind the $100 fine she got because of her Halloween decorations.

Actually, make that $95.

“I had a lady come today, (I) never met. She lives a couple streets down, on our way to work with her kids and handed me $5,” Sherry Mailloux said.

The city’s fire marshal gave Mailloux the citation after there were a few complaints about her Piccadilly Lane home.

“It’s not us out looking for these violations, we had a complaint. We have to act upon the complaint,” Fire Marshal Mark Gomez said.

Undeterred, Mailloux plans for next year.

“I want to do my webs. Maybe I should call the city and pay my citation up front,” she told FOX40. “I hope people come. I hope everybody comes and has a fun time. I hope the guy who complains comes, I’ll give him candy.”
