CBS enjoyed one final Monday of The Big Bang Theory last night. Before broadcast’s top show moves back to its Thursday time slot next week, it opened the night and offered a lead-in to The Millers. Big Bang, steady with a 4.4 rating among adults 18-49 in its live-plus-same-day showing, saw its lead-out shed half of that score — pulling a 2.2 in the key demo. That’s steady with its freshman finale but off 33 percent from last season’s premiere.
The new 8:30 p.m. offering made no difference for Scorpion. CBS’ top freshman was even, with a 2.2 rating among adults under 50, as was NCIS: Los Angeles (1.7 adults). Next week is the real test for the entire block when the network kicks off the night with Two Broke Girls.
Nightly leader NBC took a hit from last week. With the blind auditions over, The Voice shed 18 percent (seven-tenths of a point) for a 3.3 rating among adults 18-49. The Blacklist (2.4 adults) was also down, though only by four-tenths of a point.
Gotham (2.2 adults), now getting a full 22 episodes, was off two-tenths of a point from last week on Fox, prior to a steady Sleepy Hollow (1.8 adults).
Over on ABC, which saw NFL preemptions in the Pittsburgh market, Dancing With the Stars held even with a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49. Castle, down three-tenths of a point, pulled a 1.6 in the key demo.
The CW also may be slightly inflated by NFL airing in the Houston market. Regardless, it should be good news for Jane the Virgin. Ahead of any adjustments, the new drama is slightly better than steady with a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 — up a tenth of a point from last week. That’s the same score as lead-in The Originals.
