With San Diego Comic-Con just three weeks away—an idea that doubtlessly strikes terror in the hearts of the professionals attending the annual bacchanalia of comic books, movies and genre-centric pop culture—Dark Horse Comics has announced what it’s describing as the “first wave” of books and merchandise that will only be available at this year’s show.
Alongside exclusive alternate covers for issues of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Star Wars: Darth Maul—Son of Dathomir and The Witcher, the publisher will also be released limited edition convention exclusive hardcover editions of Hellboy in Hell, Volume 1: The Descent by Mike Mignola, Itty Bitty Hellboy and the EVE: Source handbook to the online EVE and DUST 514 games, and a one-off slipcase collecting the first two paperback collections of the Captain Midnight series.

If comic books aren’t what you’re looking for, perhaps you’d be more interested in the extremely-limited exclusive bronze edition Mass Effect Alliance Cruiser (A 9” long replica of the ship from the Bioware game, with a production run of only 350) or, perhaps, a plush version of Art Baltazar and Franco’s version of Hellboy from the Itty Bitty series. Really, if you’re at the show, you should really try and pick that one up, even though there are only going to be 500 made of the Comic-Con logo-wearing little devil.
Each of the above will only be available from the Dark Horse 2014 Exclusives Store at the show, which opens July 23 at the San Diego Convention Center. Be prepared to wait in line if you’re planning to pick them up.
