Define your passion!

define your passionWhen you consider a new venture have you followed the “7-step method to perfect business bliss”? If not, beware! You need to make sure your business is closely aligned with your passion.

I see way too many business owners who after 5-6 years sell their business (or close it), saying “finally, got rid of it!”. To that I say: “What went so horribly wrong?” When you run your own show it must be something you love or you’ll soon be tired of it.

There’s both a scientific and an intuitive answer to how to achieve this.

Start with what you love. No matter how silly it seems. See how that can be a business. Check with acquaintances who are potentially in the market if they’d buy your product or service if you go ahead and do it.

Check online if others are doing exactly what you want to do. Gain a deep understanding whether others are building real revenue within that market. Are they advertising? Are there signs they’re expanding and growing, not just getting by?

When you start getting “yes” to all of these questions—forge ahead!
