LINCOLN-

From the legends, to high school teens.

Friday, the Lincoln High School choir will hit the stage with Foreigner singing their 1984 classic, “I Want to Know What Love Is” at Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

If you think teens are too young to know who Foreigner is, think again.

“A few years ago I first heard their song on the radio and I said man they sound so cool. Who is this? I had no idea,” student Dylon Johnson said.

Since then, Johnston says he has been hooked.

Lincoln High got a call directly from the band, saying they heard about their choir and asked if they would join them in concert during their final act.

When Music Director Cindy Hagman got the message, she said she was elated.

“I jumped off the couch and said, ‘Of course we’re interested,'” Hagman said.

After that, students went straight to work preparing for their big night.

Foreigner likes to support high school music and is donating $500 to the Lincoln High choir program.
