Comedic legend, Joan Rivers has died. She spent the last week or so on life support at a hospital in New York City.

Rivers was rushed to the hospital after suffering complications during an outpatient throat surgery. Sources said at the time Rivers stopped breathing.

The snarky comedian has been a name in show business for 50 years. From New York comedy clubs, to the The Tonight Show, and more recently she won The Celebrity Apprentice and was a host on “Fashion Police” on E!

“My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother,” her daughter, Melissa Rivers, said.
