FOLSOM-

Folsom Police are searching for thieves who burglarized Bayside Church’s storage unit at Folsom Middle School.

Police say they got away with projectors, speakers, amplifiers, screens and lights worth a total of $25,000.

Members of Bayside Church say they noticed the equipment was gone when they were getting ready for their service last Sunday.

“Just a tragic thing to come up to church in the morning and not have the equipment you need to make it happen,” said Bayside worship leader, Corbin Phillips.

FOX40 spoke with Phillips and other church employees at their Granite Bay location.

Church leaders believe the burglary was well planned out, and that the thieves knew what they were doing.

“Unfortunately they knew what they were doing they went off to the container that had all of our AV equipment in it not the container that had all our children’s ministry stuff and so yeah they knew what they were doing, they were fast and they took a bunch of it,” teaching pastor Curt Harlow said.

Harlow says the church plans to beef up security in response to the burglary.  The church’s insurance company is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest or conviction in the case.
