According to the Modesto Police Department, officials have found a body in a canal in Modesto.
The canal is along Briggsmore Avenue near Aloha way, just west of Highway 108.
Detectives on scene called in the traffic unit. According to the department’s Twitter account, it appears the victim, a man, rode his bicycle into the canal and suffered head trauma.
The man’s identity has not yet been determined.
