Attention, rich Bronies and other fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: How would you like to own a particularly rare piece of MLP history and help out a deserving cause at the same time?
Hasbro, IDW Publishing and Heritage Auctions have joined forces to auction off what is being described as an “extremely rare variant” of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic No. 12 to benefit the organization Give Kids the World. Just how rare, you ask? Pretty rare, it turns out: it’s literally the only one of its kind.

The none-more-limited edition comic boasts a cover by Sara Richard, and was produced to celebrate the series selling more than one million copies on the retail level. Both the single-issue variant and Richards’ original art will be auctioned off next month.
Proceeds from the sale of both items will go to Give Kids The World, a non-profit resort in Central Florida that invites children with life-threatening diseases to stay cost-free for week-long vacations with their families. In a statement, IDW president Greg Goldstein said that the publisher is “thrilled to be able to do something this special with such a unique comic book,” while Hasbro’s director of global publishing Michael Kelly added that the auction puts the MLP tenet that “when friends work together, virtually anything can be accomplished” into action.
Online bidding is currently open for both items, with the final auction happening August 7.
