RADIO ONLINE | Monday, July 21, 2014 |
United Stations Radio Networks (USRN) has completed and launched a new mobile app supporting its syndicated rock programs "hardDrive" and "hardDrive XL," both hosted by Lou Brutus. The app, developed for both Apple's iOS and for Android by radio marketer Andre Yancey, is available immediately and gives listeners a chance to access the hardDrive branded programming and related content on a new platform.
The app is available for free and will provide listeners with a chance to access a stream of the hardDrive program content on demand after it airs on its affiliated broadcast stations. The app will also allow users to access content including interviews and performances, tour information, photos, videos and more, some of which will have been broadcast and some of which will be only available via the hardDrive Radio app.
"Between hardDrive host Lou Brutus and the rest of our hardDrive staff, we're able to get the best access to the music stars and the newsmakers that make the rock radio format exciting," said Director of Rock Programming Roxy Myzal. In addition to reaching fans through our radio affiliates, we recognize that by going mobile with our content, we can engage an even larger audience for the artists and the advertisers with whom we work so closely as partners."
