House of Cards is hoping to be elected this Monday night.
The Netflix political thriller is vying for three big trophies at this year’s Primetime Emmys. In addition to being up for outstanding drama, stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are competing for gold in their respective individual categories.
Spacey’s portrayal of merciless, power-hungry congressman Frank Underwood and Wright’s depiction of his equally ruthless wife Claire have earned them nominations both seasons, though they’ve yet to get hands on a statuette.
But Netflix is hopeful that will change with the second season of the Beltway drama, which saw more murders, an unexpected threesome (or “Meechsome” as the internet has deemed it) and better one-liners from America’s favorite politician.
Here’s Frank at this very best — or is it worst? — from both seasons.
