A Facebook post helped lead investigators to a chop shop, and to the arrest of four men.

Last week, the Placer Land Trust filed a police report about a stolen Ford truck, an off-road vehicle and a lawn mower. The group also posted pictures of the stolen items on Facebook, and asked their fans’ help in locating them.

Sunday morning, a person who saw the post, called Placer County Sheriff’s deputies because they thought they knew where the items were.

Deputies responded to a home in Loomis, where they found five stolen vehicles, the items taken from the Placer Land Trust, and several stolen motorcycle engines and frames.

Four men were arrested in connection with the discovered chop shop; 35-year-old Richard Burns, 21-year-old Nicholas Williams, 31-year-old Lawrence Olsen and 19-year-old Joseph Collier.
