Yesterday was a record-setting day for rainfall in Phoenix, AZ, as the remnants of Hurricane Norbert swept inland from off the coast of Baja California. For the historical period (1895-2014):
• Phoenix – 3.29 inches (all time record, breaking previous record of 2.91 inches set on September 4, 1939);
• Tucson – 1.84 inches (9th wettest day on record).
