Detectives from the Fairfield Police Department’s Family Violence Unit investigated a 49-year-old Fairfield resident, and arrested him for multiple sex crimes against children.

Police searched the man’s home on May 30th, located on Garfield St near Travis Blvd. The search quickly revealed allegations of multiple sex crimes against children and child pornography.

The suspect, Steven Sherwood, 49, was booked into the Solano County Jail for Continuous Sexual Assault of a Minor, Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Minor, and Lewd Acts with a Minor.

As the investigation continued, police found several additional victims and more charges were filed against Sherwood. His current bail is over $3 million.
