The genre pic, from 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks, is based on a script by Lee and Gunn. Tyrone plays an academic who becomes addicted to blood after finding a mysteriously cursed artifact.
Abrahams plays the wife of the academic who becomes involved in a dangerous romance. Da Sweet Blood of Jesus is produced by Lee and Chiz Schultz, who also produced Ganja and Hess, and is co-produced by Jason Sokoloff.
