We bought three of these floats and have used them for two swimming seasons. This would be our third year and we are buying new ones. They are starting to sink a bit more than we like and the texture of the material has changed a lot on some. They are lightweight and long enough for a tall person to float with feet out of the water. The only negative is the color fading. We have white, teal, and orange. The white and teal colors have held up okay. But before the end of the first season the orange float had faded horribly. It still functioned fine, but it looked really bad and when anyone outside the immediate family came over they avoided it because it looked so bad. We will buy white this time. It held up best.

I've used it for 2 summer seasons (so far) in southern AZ, and it looks like we should be able to get a third season out of it, at least. It's very comfortable, and because of its thickness and bouyancy, you tend to float just above the water, but can easily push one corner of it down with your leg or shoulder and get water under yourself, for a quick cooloff. But, it has some weaknesses.

This past summer I started storing it in a plastic deck box (Suncast wicker, 99 gallon). I would roll the float up and put it inside, with some other items in there, like my pool cleaner and its hoses. Whatever the float was resting against, like the hoses, usually, or the lid of the deck box, would leave an imprint in it for many hours. Additionally, it's worst enemy seemed to be itself. After storage inside the deck box (which, admittedly, is in a hot, non-shaded spot), sometimes taking the float out would result in small tears in its skin because it had stuck to itself. This didn't happen the first season, when we just kept it rolled up, standing on the concrete deck. One more thing -- if you hop onto this after you've just put on sunscreen, the sunscreen will transfer to the skin of the float and be very difficult to get off. It may even smell like the sunscreen.

Great product perfect at the lake. Have tried several others these last and can endure small children and large dogs climbing on them without puncturing or tearing. Well worth the money. At my local pool supply place they were $139.

Float were smaller than others. Check your dimensions when shopping. TRC Recreation not responsive to return of product. Very disappointed with TRC

After coming back from staying at a Hyatt in Aruba that had very similar floats we had to have something like it for our pool. I got the bronze which is very nice looking. Float has you in the water some but mostly floating on top. A little tricky to get into depending on one's agility. Have to hold it in place and hop on and then adjust. Very comfortable to lay on. The material is quite delicate so be careful with having anything scratch the surface. We've been pretty careful but not quite careful enough apparently and one has a small slight tear (scratch really) in the bronze material on the surface of the float. (It's not bronze inside the material). Other than that we've had them a month or so and so far meet expectations for the cost. These were cheaper than some other ones out there. I would recommend.
