WUSF and USF's Bulls Radio Form New Partnership
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, September 2, 2014 |
WUSF Public Media/Tampa announces a new partnership with Bulls Radio, the student radio station on the campus of the University of South Florida. Students involved in Bulls Radio will now have internships and mentorship opportunities with the professionals at WUSF. In addition, Bulls Radio will now be heard on WUSF-HD3. The station will also still be available on 1620 AM and online at www.bullsradio.org.
"Everyone at WUSF Public Media has a passion for broadcasting and radio," said WUSF Public Media GM JoAnn Urofsky. "We enjoy igniting that passion in others, so this partnership with Bulls Radio is a great way to share our experiences with the USF students who are interested in learning from those who have spent their career in broadcasting."
"This partnership with WUSF Radio has endless benefits for us," added Director of Bulls Radio Zak Kuiper. "It not only boosts our credibility and makes us more relevant as a university radio station on campus, but it also gives our students new access to all of the expertise at WUSF."
Programming at Bulls Radio will remain in full control of the student volunteers and will continue to include an eclectic mix of music, talk radio, campus information and live broadcasts of USF Bulls sports events.
