Director J.J. Abrams and screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan offered fans a brief update on Star Wars: Episode VII in a short clip that the director posted on Sunday.
Even though there was speculation about an announcement on Star Wars day (“May the Fourth”), Abrams didn’t divulge any new details in the video. The director did, however, confirm that there will be more casting reveals to be announced. (At least one more female role remains open, sources told The Hollywood Reporter in a April 30 story).
On Tuesday, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Daisy Ridley, Andy Serkis and Max von Sydow were officially unveiled as castmembers.
