Once Upon a Time has cast Belle’s mother.
Australian actress Frances O’Connor has joined the ABC fairy-tale drama’s fourth season as Colette, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
O’Connor will appear in flashbacks in the sixth episode, with the potential to return in the future.
With the casting, O’Connor returns to ABC where she co-starred in the short-lived prime-time soap Cashmere Mafia. She is currently a regular on the U.K. period drama Mr. Selfridge and will appear in Starz’s upcoming The Missing.

O’Connor joins a crop of new additions for the fourth season that includes Georgina Haig, Elizabeth Lail, Scott Michael Foster, Tyler Jacob Moore, John Rhys-Davies and Elizabeth Mitchell.
Over the weekend, THR debuted the first promo revealing the Storybrooke debut of Frozen‘s Elsa.
