[WARNING: Spoiler ahead for season 18 winners].
Dancing With the Stars has crowned a new winner.
Meryl Davis and professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were named champions of the ABC dancing competition show’s 18th season during Tuesday’s live results show.
“It is just plastic, but it means so much,” said Chmerkovskiy of the mirror ball trophy as his partner was hoisted high on everyone’s shoulders.
The final three couples vying for the mirror ball were Full House‘s Candace Cameron-Bure and Mark Ballas; Olympic champion ice dancer Davis and Chmerkovskiy; and Paralympian Amy Purdy and Derek Hough.

Bure and Ballas came in third, with Ballas telling the judges of his dance partner: “I made an amazing friend. It was a complete joy and an honor to get to know you.” Bure announced that “it was a huge accomplishment.” Purdy and Hough were second.
The two-hour finale, which marked outgoing executive producer Conrad Green‘s final episode (Rob Wade will succeed him as showrunner), was a star-packed affair. Christina Perri, Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX, Glee star and DWTS season 17 winner Amber Riley, Ariana Grande and eliminated dancer Cody Simpson also performed.
Previously eliminated dancers were James Maslow, Diana Nyad, Sean Avery, Simpson, Drew Carey, Witney Carson, Danica McKellar and Charlie White. Billy Dee Williams withdrew from the competition in Week 3.
