SACRAMENTO-

It’s a suite inside of a suite, and a bunch of really cool technology to boot.

Inside of a fourth floor suite in the downtown plaza, sits a mock-up of many things related to the new Entertainment and Sports Complex, including augmented reality where a standing cube partners with an iPad to allow an intimate look in a 3-D world.

Virtual reality goggles also allow potential season ticket holder to take the tour at their own pace, placing them in center court.

Art pieces line the halls, just as they will in the new arena, many of the pieces featuring local artists; old seats taken from Sleep Train Arena sit just across from new padded ones.

The show stopper on the tour was the suite, a mock-up of what 26 of the 300 suites will look like when the building is completed.

“The suites are bigger than the old ones,” says Kings President Chris Granger.

The Kings don’t have an exact date set for ground breaking but it’s expected to be sometime in July.
