YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK-
The Foresta area of Yosemite National Park was under an evacuation order Tuesday because of a fire, the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office said.
Park officials confirmed to FOX40 that an aircraft involved in fighting the fire crashed. It was unknown how many people were on board or if any deaths occurred.
Cal Fire later confirmed that the S-2T air tanker crashed, and that the pilot was killed.

The pilot was not immediately identified.
El Portal Road inside the park is closed at Big Oak Flat Road.
The fire, known as the “Dog Rock Fire,” was first reported around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. As of 4:15 p.m., it had spread to 130 acres.
The community of Foresta includes about 60 homes, the Mariposa County Sheriff said.
