Filming has begun on Star Wars: Episode VII and director J.J. Abrams‘ production company tweeted out a photo from the set to mark the occasion.
Unfortunately in keeping with the heightened secrecy around the highly anticipated film, the below image isn’t very revealing.

Star Wars: Episode VII Is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015. The much-anticipated relaunch of the sci-fi franchise reunites original stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher with new additions Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow and Daisy Ridley.
In March, Disney CEO Bob Iger said the film will be set 30 years after the events in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.
Disney and Lucasfilm announced the movie’s cast last month with another set photo, of the first table read.
The movie is filming primarily in London at Pinewood Studios, but it’s also set to shoot in Abu Dhabi.
