Lizzy Caplan, coming off her Emmy nomination for her work on Showtime’s buzzy show Masters of Sex, is in negotiations to join the cast of Now You See Me 2, Summit’s magic and illusion ensemble thriller
Jon M. Chu is directing the sequel to the surprise 2013 hit which reunites Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson and Michael Caine.
Daniel Radcliffe is one of the new additions to the feature, which is due to start shooting at the end of November.
Details of Caplan’s role are being kept up the producers’ sleeve.
An actress who has shown the dexterity to move between dramatic and comedic roles, Caplan will next be seen opposite Seth Rogen and James Franco in the Sony comedy The Interview, which opens Dec. 25.
