Taissa Farmiga is going from one anthology to another.
The American Horror Story favorite has signed a one-year deal on to co-star in ABC’s L.A. Crime, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The character-driven, true-crime procedural anthology explores sex, politics and popular culture across various noteworthy eras in L.A. history. Season one focuses on two L.A. cops in search for a Bonnie & Clyde-esque serial killing team amid the rock-and-roll, coke-infused revelry of the 1980s Sunset Strip.

Farmiga will play Karen, who is described as more Berkley grad than rocker chick — even though that’s the crowd she tends to hang with. Karen is an aspiring ?journalist who has a close call with the killer, Clark. While ?gunning for a position at Rolling Stone, Karen takes a job working for Diver Hawkes at his paparazzi company.
Farmiga has had leading roles on seasons one (Murder House) and three (Coven) of FX’s Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk anthology American Horror Story. L.A. Crime marks her third anthology role. On the feature side, her credits include Final Girls and 6 Years. She’s repped by ICM Partners, Anonymous Content and Peikoff Mahan.
She joins a cast that includes Parenthood alum Erika Christensen, who has a one-year deal to play as Betty, a nurse and single mother who begins a romantic relationship with the killer after initially being targeted as a victim.
Steven Baigelman will pen the script and exec produce the ABC Studios and Mandeville Television entry alongside David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman, Laurie Zaks and Tom Shankland, the latter of whom will direct.
