SACRAMENTO-

More than 100 demonstrators outside the Sacramento County jail protested against police brutality Sunday in solidarity with the demonstrations in Ferguson, Michigan.

The protests come after Michael Brown was gunned down by a Ferguson police officer on August 9.

The demonstrations in Sacramento remained peaceful. A spokesperson with the Sacramento Police Department told FOX40 the department did not anticipate any issues, which is why officers kept a distance and gave protesters their space.
