SACRAMENTO-

Crews are putting the Downtown Plaza demolition process into overdrive, hauling off all the debris from the site to make way for the new construction.

According to Sacramento ESC, trucks are transporting the debris through an approved route along Richards Boulevard so traffic will not be disrupted downtown. Trucks will also use a new exit ramp on 6th and J Street.

Demolition and mass excavation of the 560 J Street structure will continue next week.

The demoliton of the former K Street plaza entrance on 7th Street is on its way to completion.  Once this is all done, the groundwork can begin for the new home of the Sacramento Kings.
