YUBA CITY-
A captain with the Sutter County Sheriff’s Department was arrested Monday on suspicion of child abuse.
Captain Lewis McElfresh Jr. was taken into custody at the Sheriff’s Department headquarters.
McElfresh is accused of abusing a girl over the age of 14. The charge charge does not specify mental or physical abuse.
