With Parenthood‘s end in sight, Lauren Graham has lined up a new gig.
The actress has been tapped for a guest role on CBS’ upcoming The Odd Couple reboot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
In the comedy based on Neil Simon‘s Broadway play, Graham will play Gaby, the ex-wife of Matthew Perry‘s Oscar Madison. Gaby and Oscar lived through a contentious marriage — and divorce — but beneath all the bickering, there remains a deep connection and affection between them.

The casting is a case of art imitating life after the Gilmore Girls alum briefly dated longtime friend Perry. This marks the third Perry series that she has had guest gigs on, joining Aaron Sorkin‘s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Go On. (She also played a love interest on the latter.)
A premiere date for The Odd Couple, co-starring Perry’s 17 Again cohort Thomas Lennon as Felix, has not yet been determined.
