Mark Pellington has lined up a his next gig.
The prolific director has signed on to helm TNT’s untitled cocaine drama pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Additionally, he has resigned with UTA for representation.
The untitled cocaine entry hails from executive producers Jerry Bruckheimer, Michael Bay and Michelle Ashford and is described as a serialized character drama centering on the captivating, wild and unpredictable world of the Florida drug trade in the 1970s.
Pellington will direct the pilot and be credited as an exec producer.
Pellington most recently directed ABC’s Red Widow and Howard Gordon pilot Anatomy of Violence as well as Secret Lives of Husbands and Wives. His credits include Cold Case and Homicide: Life on the Street.
His return to UTA comes after he left the agency for CAA last year. He’s additionally repped by 3 Arts and Gang Tyre.
