STOCKTON —
Two men are being treated for gunshot wounds at a local hospital after a shooting that killed another man in a Stockton neighborhood.
San Joaquin County Sheriff’s told FOX40 the shooting occurred in the 200 block of South Oro Drive shortly after noon Thursday. Spokesperson Les Garcia said the suspect walked down the street, aimed a gun at three men standing in a front yard and shot them.
“When I went up there he was lying on the ground and they were just putting the IVs in him. It was a shame to see him like that. I knew it was something bad because he wasn’t waking up” Tony Angulo said.
Angulo lives a few houses away from where the shooting occurred and had been acquainted with the victims. He said he talked with them regularly.
“They’re so young. You know. I think they should have more people aware in neighborhood watches, you know, things of that nature,”
San Joaquin County Sheriff’s spent most of the afternoon combing the scene for evidence and canvassing nearby streets for potential witnesses. They are still looking for the suspect.
One witness claimed to have seen the suspect take off in a dark colored SUV.
