RANCHO CORDOVA-
A teen girl was hit and killed by a light rail train Thursday afternoon in Rancho Cordova.
The teen was hit near Folsom Boulevard and Coloma Road a short time after 3 p.m.
It’s unknown why the teen was on the tracks. A witness reported the teen was wearing headphones while heading home from Cordova High School.
Train service was disrupted in that area, but Regional Transit provided buses for passengers. Trains began running again around 5:30 p.m.
